Client: Lloyds Pharmacy
The Client:
Lloyd’s pharmacy is a national high street name with pharmacies in most towns throughout the UK.
Our Solution:
Delta Security has been providing retail security guards to Lloyds since 2003 in the South West and Wales regions. Retail guards have been primarily deployed to vulnerable pharmacies with a high risk of theft or violence towards staff.
Lloyds were looking for a solution to reduce the number of incidents involving attacks on staff and loss from retail crime. Delta in conjunction with the Lloyds regional security managers carried out risk assessments and security surveys in the most vulnerable pharmacies and through deployment of quality retail guards with appropriate training there was a dramatic fall in recorded crime throughout the regions.
Working closely with Lloyds security management, Delta developed a strategy of deploying mobile Area Security Teams (AST’s) that could be deployed where operationally needed. Providing an intelligent and cost effective way of significantly reducing retail crime, making arrests and reducing attacks on pharmacy staff, the AST was a major success.
Certain pharmacies have a unique risk being approved methadone dispensaries as part of a national NHS scheme. Delta Security provides extra training to our retail guards in confrontation management training for this unique security environment.
