Delta Security wins National Contract with Ceva Logistics
During December 2009, Delta Security and several other companies took part in a tendering process for the national security contract for Ceva Logistics. The process culminated in an e−auction which was held just before the Christmas break.
Whilst not actually having the best e−auction bid, Delta was deemed by Ceva UK Procurement Team in conjunction with the National Security Manager Phil Marshall, as being the company with the best cost to service ratio from the process, and were awarded the contract in early January this year.
Julian Roe the Managing Director of Delta Security said − “We are obviously over the moon with the award. We have been working with Ceva on several sites for the last five years and have had to negotiate and work hard to get where we are today. I found the e−auction a brutal way to do business, but in the current climate, I am sure more and more companies will be looking at the bottom line as all important.”
“Ceva are a global player in the freight management market, this contract not only cements the UK Division as far as security is concerned, but there is a potential to integrate our FM division − Delta Integrated Services, which represents a fantastic opportunity and we are relishing the challenge ahead.”
